How to use Social Networking to Advocate Yourself.
A little while ago someone I know said to me “If you are not on Facebook, you essentially don’t even exist.” Genuinely, I’m leaning towards this opinion. To find out out what is going on in the lives of individuals you know you only have to browse these social network sites. If you don’t use these types of site then it’s very difficult to keep in touch.
Going on these sort of websites isn’t just about touching base and following your mates and acquaintances lives. Another point of social websites is promoting yourself and bringing in business especially if you are a real estate agent. Newspaper advertisements, Leaflets and Billboards are ‘old hat’ and businesses need to move with the flow. Using and publicizing on the internet is now the way to go with the times. If you browse the internet, you will discover lots of articles with tips on how to use, and promote yourself, on social networking sites.
Discovering your way round websites, different systems of writing and all that goes with making use of the internet, can be difficult for older people who are not used to it. For the older individual it is going to take time to study, whereas kids seem to know how to do it naturally. Regardless of the problems we still have a go. I don’t accept it’s just me that feels like that and lots of my fellow realtors are finding it just as hard.
After working all day its not surprising we come home weary, so it’s difficult to sum up the energy to find interesting things to talk about on blogs or make posts on social websites such as facebook and twitter. Our daily routine now involves just that sort of input. Working on our blogs and social network web pages is now entertainment. Is there persons out there that are interested in our posts? Do individuals, other than fellow realtors, actually study the articles we write? Unluckily that is not a question any of us have the solution to?
I actually do examine the websites of my fellow real estate representatives and I do read the features they write, because the topics are of interest. Are these features of any interest to individuals not involved in the housing market, that I can’t answer. A great benefit of all this is that even if I do not see my colleagues often, I feel like I know them, I know about their lives and opinions just from looking through their blogs and posts. So I may not have seen to someone for a long time, but I can honestly say I have learnt alot about them, and this is thanks to social networking. What a awesome concept social networking is.
As a realtor I sell Condominiums Toronto, and I believe social networking to be one of the key ways of getting new leads. Therefore I hope this short article was of any help for you!
