Arbonne International, LLC a MLM business that provides high end skin care products located in Irvine California made its way to the top news recently in Network Marketing. Due to Natural Products Group, llc the holding company for Arbonne filed chapter 11 bankruptcy in the effort to remove the companies current debt.

Many rumors have been around stating that Arbonne will shut their doors due to this bankruptcy filing, but in reality most people are unfamiliar with this filing. Natural Products Group, llc announced that the chapter 11 bankruptcy filing was successful with the plan accepted on Jan 27, 2010. With the company stating that more than 80% of the outstanding debt is expected to be reduced during the Arbonne reorganization, and turned into equity for the company. Basically the lenders are swapping the debt owed to gain shares of ownership in the company.

What does this Arbonne Restructuring mean for you the Independent Consultants?

Well, looks like business as usual which is a great thing following such a large scare as bankruptcy on your company. But in no way will this Arbonne Bankruptcy be out of the news anytime soon. The MLM industry is always being judged whether its really legit or a safe business, due to many fraudulent companies throughout the years.

As for any Independent Consultant or anyone who has been looking at getting involved in the Arbonne opportunity may want to think twice about how business may change. I’m not saying to not be part of Arbonne but to be aware that MLM can be hard enough without having a business with a bankruptcy on its books. Having the black eye of a bankruptcy you need to prepare yourself to educate the people you talk to about Arbonne and the reorganization plan it implemented. There will be hurdles for Arbonne consultants like sponsoring people into the business, but stay positive because its a number’s game

If you really want to prosper in Arbonne, you’re going to need to learn how to market “yourself” before your business. This goes for people currently in Arbonne or those looking at joining, you need to learn how to market your business in a way that removes resistance in your prospects.
