ISO 22000:2005 the world Standard for food safety management systems is now gaining moreand more worldwide appreciation. ISO 22000, is supported by ISO / TS 22004:2005, Food safety management systems Guidance on the applying of ISO 22000:2005, which gives tips for all sorts of organization in the food supply chain. These range from feed suppliers, first producers, food manufacturers, transport and storage operators, retail and food service outlets, makers of hardware, packaging material, cleaning agents, ingredients and additives.

It provides assistance on the main clauses of the standard and on a way to take a technique approach to pushing through a food safety management system. FSSC 22000 is specific for food manufacturers. ISO 22000 is auseful to standard for food safety management systems requirements based on the HACCP beliefs but as the FSSC 22000 scheme contains TS ISO 22002 it has detailed requirements for requirement programs. The FSSC food safety management system certification scheme was brought out on 15 May 2009 and has been provisionally licensed against the requirements explained in the GFSI direction Document Version 5.
The global Food Safety Initiative ( GFSI ), which is an influential group of 650 retailer, manufacturer and food service companies, as well as service suppliers associated with the food supply chain from over 70 various countries. GFSI maintains a baselining process for food safety management system validation scheme requirements. The global Food Safety Initiative recognizes 5 producing schemes BRC global Standard Version 5, Dutch HACCP ( Option B ), FSSC 22000 ( Conditional Recognition ), Global Red meat Standard Version three, world Food Standard Version 5 and SQF 2000 Level two.
