So you would like to get into the vending machine business! You will want to get a grasp of the basics if you want to take home any cash in this business without throwing yourself into a financial tailspin. You see the vending machine business can be great as there is a boatload of cash to be made by anyone who really puts in the energy and wants to make it happen can make it happen hands down.

The vending machine business can be very lucrative but you have to do some homework and research before jumping in. This way you ensure the best chance for making smart business decisions that will see you keep more cash in your pocket.

What I mean by this is that soda machines or snack machines are not cheap to buy. Yes if you can find a great deal on a used snack machine that is in good condition and get away with spending only $500 – $1000 then that’s excellent!

Some vending equipment can cost you anywhere from $1500 all the way up to $5000.00 depending on the type of vending machine. The art to making real cash in vending is to find a decent location where you can set up your vending machines and pay off your machines within the first 12 to 18 months. This will enable you to add too your business fast and develop as needed.

Buying soda and snack machines to begin with will benefit you greatly as the products that vend through these machines offer excessive profit margins. A can of soda and a bag of chips are relatively inexpensive and can be sold for double your cost price.

Remember some machines can be priced high and if you have to drop $10,0000 dollars for one single location and you end up pulling out only $100 per week in sales, it will take you years to pay off your equipment and will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

When starting out in the vending machine business look at setting up a few soda vending machines to begin with to get a feel of how this business works and the buying trends of your customers.

After you get a few of these set up then look to continue building your business with some snack vending machines. This in my opinion is the smart way to begin and will enable you to get a feel of the business and what it is all about.
