He does make an effort to get up at six AM every day, and he sets his alarm for that time. Usually, though, it is the sunlight brightening his bedroom that actually makes him get out of bed, not the music from his clock radio. Anyway, the time is unimportant, as his workday can start at any time he is ready.

The first order of the day is to have some coffee, and what he likes is a low-fat latte with an extra shot and plenty of foam. But these days he is his own barista, and he only ever has one customer. He certainly does not miss the long and slow-moving lines at the neighborhood coffeehouse, with everyone impatient to get his drink and be on his way. This is much more relaxing.

The kitchen fills with the aroma of espresso and the quiet gurgling of the coffee maker. He steps outside to get the morning papers which arrived earlier. For world news he reads the Times, and for financial developments it is the Journal. Heading back to the kitchen to get his latte, he is distracted by his office helper, Miss Kitty. He stops to pet the round little Manx, who is always happy to play paperweight when he allows her to.

The commute from home to home office takes about 5 seconds. Getting online takes about the same amount of time, and the first stop is always his business email account. He reads with interest a message from his trading broker on the latest top forex indicator that they are recommending to their larger clients. He makes a note to study it later on, but for now he goes to his trading account to see what has happened overnight.

A few peaceful hours of work pass, with intermissions to make a second latte and to feed Miss Kitty. The financial markets have been favoring his investing strategies, it is Friday, the day is sunny and life is good. He decides to have a quick run on his treadmill and catch up on the news on TV at the same time. Afterwards, a light lunch is in order, some sushi delivered with his groceries yesterday. And then it is back to work.

A few hours later he hears the mail being deposited in the box outside the front door and goes to check. He is pleased to see that a book he ordered recently has arrived, on how to evaluate the best forex indicator. He will look at it later, and possibly implement his findings when the market opens Monday morning.

After a good day’s worth of work, it is time to relax a bit. He takes a cup of tea out on the patio and notices that the rose bushes could use some pruning and other care. Thinking about the weekend ahead, he remembers that he is planning to assemble the new computer workstation furniture that he bought and had delivered recently. Now he will have a much larger work space, with more room for reports, correspondence, books, and, most importantly, Miss Kitty.
